Introduction to mainstream processing technology for titanium pipe fittings!
Titanium is a special material, and the process directly determines its quality, strength, and corrosion resistance.
1.Seamless hot pressing molding
Process: After heating the titanium tube, it is formed by hot pressing with a mold
Advantages: Seamless, uniform wall thickness, high strength, high pressure resistance
Applicable to high demand pipe fittings such as elbows and tees
2.Welding forming
Process: Titanium plate rolling/welding after splicing to form
Advantages: Lower cost, larger caliber has more advantages
Key point: Welding must be protected by argon gas to ensure the quality of the weld seam
3.Forging process
Process: Titanium rod/titanium ingot forging and forming
Advantages: Dense organization, extremely high pressure resistance
Applicable: Flanges, forged tees, high-pressure fittings
4.Post processing
Acid pickling passivation: forming a dense oxide film to enhance corrosion resistance
Flaw detection: X-ray, ultrasonic, ensuring no cracks or defects
Dimensional inspection: Ensure compliance with national/American standards (GB, ASTM, ASME)
